'English for a Song' - Mini Hackathon [2017]
OVERVIEW
In July of 2017 I entered into a 4 hour hackathon in NYC. It was hosted by a meetup group called Hackers 4 Good which directs resources towards hacking real world problems in communities.
TEAM & ROLE
Idea conception and UI design was split amongst our team of three. I took a manager role as team lead and built our rough prototype using principle.
PROBLEM
English for a Song is a nonprofit dedicated towards increasing english literacy in the United States. They had already hired a design group to prototype a mobile app but wanted to use this hackathon to brain storm more inventive ways to teach english. Their main goal is to teach english through music.
